About Café Satsang: Share ideas of practical philosophy and reason for being
Café Satsang came out of the dream of creating a space where people can enjoy high quality food and drink whilst indulging their passion for philosophical conversations and debate. High quality food for mind, body and spirit; bringing greater enlightenment to themselves, their families and the wider world.
The rationale behind the café is to provide a space where people can explore deep and meaningful questions about life and existence itself. Questions such as:
- What is it to be really free, and is my Will as free as I think it is?
- What is the true nature of success and happiness?
- What is my true calling, craft and destiny in life?
- What is the true nature of Love, Life, Time and Space?
- Are we really free to explore, discover and learn anything new when bound by memory, conditioning and expectation?
The commentaries here are based on a series of talks and developing work which encapsulates the essence of the wisdom of the Ancient Masters. From the Vedic Advaita teachings, Taoism, Sufi masters and the teachings of Socrates, Plato, through to more recent and enlightened teachers such as The Dalai Lama, Shri Ramana Maharshi, Nisargadatta Maharaj, G I Gurdjieff, Krishnamurti and lessons we are learning from modern Quantum Physics and Biocentrism. It explores a series of questions and topics and provides this developing body of work – Natures Destiny and The Art of Living (The Book) which you are encouraged to discuss, debate and contribute to its continuous development. To help greater inner understanding and free your mind from its conditioned limitations, you are introduced to a simple method of (Mindful Meditation) by which anyone can participate from as little as just one minute per day.
THE CONCEPT: The idea is that the café provides the platform for a wider organisation of ‘Study Groups’ – KSG – dedicated to harmonious development of oneself, your ‘craft’ or business, the community and the wider world. The Café’s and Study Groups are here to facilitate access to and application of the best and evolving knowledge and wisdom available, past and present; cultivating a life of Purpose, Discovery and Learning, Governance and Leadership; a legacy for all … helping to build the world of our future… your future.
