After graduating in marine engineering Roy Maunder spent the first five years of his career in the Royal and Merchant Marine services in UK before being recruited into the petroleum industry as a consulting engineer. With rapid progression into sales and general management, at the age of 30, Roy became head of district for commercial sales for Mobil Oil Co.
With general management experience and a special interest in organization development Roy was recruited to help establish and build a new Esso franchise in Southern Africa. In just 5 years he established a highly successful, competitive commercial oil company.
With the changing conditions in Southern Africa Roy returned to England to join the Telecom’s industry as a consulting specialist in Organization Development and management coaching. Here he gained hands-on experience in change management on a large scale, responsible for business re-structuring and training programs for leadership and service quality.
Following a brief period working for specialist consulting company Roy set up his own company, Lantern-pathfinder Consulting, specializing in Organization Development, leadership coaching and customer service management.
With a wide range of consulting projects behind him Roy now specializes as a change facilitator, executive, personal development and life coach. He is well known for his unique approach to Value Driven Business, Career Path Development (CPD) and Life Path Development (LPD)
His particular approach to the application of Mindfulness in life, career and business is gaining a strong following. You have an impressive CV, being so varied career wise. I have had quite a differing one also, and my first degree is also in Engineering, having then worked in Business too and side stepping into Education later, and now also moving into Psychotherapy (currently in training). Funny how both divorced too with kids!
